As the Financial Controller, you'll be the financial backbone of the organization, overseeing critical accounting functions while providing valuable insights that help drive strategic decisions.

Responsibilities:
What You'll Do

Financial Leadership

Prepare and manage monthly inventory reports for banking partners
Run and analyze financial statements across multiple entities
Provide actionable financial insights to company leadership
Oversee bank reconciliations and EFT transaction tracking

Accounting Excellence

Manage weekly payroll processing and related tax entries
Oversee loan reconciliations and mortgage payment processing
Handle tax compliance, including quarterly prepayments and 1099 reporting
Identify and implement accounting improvements

Risk Management

Manage all insurance policies including Builder's Risk, General Liability, and Workers' Compensation
Review insurance audit reports and ensure proper coverage
Track and report site changes and vehicle updates to insurers
Construction Financial Management
Process loan draw requests for development projects
Collaborate with estimating teams on job cost and profit analysis
Manage property-related financial transactions

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, banks, and external auditors.

Education:
Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in construction or real estate development.
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and construction job costing.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Viewpoint). Experience with insurance management and compliance reporting.
Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic insights
