Responsibilities:
- Drive up to 6 hours in a single day
- Replace glass in windows or doors; Installs items such as window screens, install window or door sash, hardware, etc.
- Perform job site walk-through???s and completes necessary paperwork, identifies items that need attention or correction prior to project finalization
- Meets company safety requirements by keeping work area neat and clean, following safety precautions and wearing required safety apparel (i.e. shoes, safety glasses, fall protection, etc.), and reporting any safety issues to the manager
- Perform and complete service jobs on company products in the field
- Problem solves and diagnoses difficult issues in the field
- Provide Customers with helpful information on the care, operation and maintenance of Window products
- Generates and updates all service-related completes in Service Module following a service visit so that additional service calls can be scheduled, if necessary, and billing or credit can be completed.
- Conducts any necessary follow up service work or communication to bring resolution and a Very Satisfied Customer Service Rating from all Customers; Serves as a Customer Service Champion at all times
- Collects Customer payment as required
- Identifies and orders parts over via Service Module through the advisor
- The ability to be a problem solver and manage multiple tasks, appropriately prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.
- Loads Service van with all necessary parts and equipment on an as-needed basis, no less than weekly
- Abides by company Mission Statement, striving to achieve corporate goal of 100% Customer satisfaction, while making it easy for Customers to do business with the company and promoting market share growth.
- May be asked to assist in the training of new Field Service Technicians or employees in other departments
- Maintain assigned Service vehicle
- Perform any other necessary task assigned by the supervisor or company in support of company goals or assistance with customer issues
- Completes service work orders and communicates any ongoing customer or product related issues with advisors
- Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities in the department
Skills:
- Construction/Remodeling background a major plus.
- Window and/or door experience (product knowledge) is preferred
- A technical degree is preferred
- Proven work history
Qualifications:
- EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
- SELF MOTIVATED-SELF SUPERVISORY SKILLS, travel & work independently
- GREAT MECHANICAL APTITUDE, position required experience
- SAFETY CONCIOUS
- Must have a valid driver?s license and be in compliance with company Fleet Safety Policy
- Able to drive up to 6 hours in a single day.
- Able to use/read/follow a map.
- Able to lift 75-100 pounds
- Able to work off a ladder, up to 40 feet.
- Able to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are required
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Great communication skills to work with customers
- Amazing problem-solving skills
- Ability to diagnose problems with equipment
- Ability to communicate in English
