Under the general supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position performs a variety
of tasks in the maintenance and upkeep of this facility and related work as assigned.
Including but not limited to:
- Grounds Maintenance
- Janitorial/Housekeeping
- Painting/General Repairs
- Running Errands
- Electrical
- IT Cables etc.

Responsibilities:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility, including grounds upkeep, janitorial services, basic painting, general repairs, and electrical work. The role involves handling IT cabling, running errands, and completing various other tasks as assigned. The technician must ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks, manage budgets, minimize response and completion times, and keep repairs and backlogs to a minimum. They are also expected to maintain workplace safety, report any hazards or injuries, and actively participate in safety and continuous improvement training.

The ideal candidate for the Facilities Technician role should possess a diverse set of technical and physical skills. They should be proficient in grounds maintenance, janitorial housekeeping, basic painting, general repairs, and electrical systems, along with the ability to manage IT cabling and perform various errands as needed. The role requires physical stamina for tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing or sitting for long periods, walking, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors under various conditions. Strong time management skills are essential, including the ability to meet budget constraints, complete tasks within 72 hours, respond to maintenance requests within 48 hours, manage backlogs, and limit overtime to under 5%. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to safety by following proper safety protocols, reporting hazards, and adhering to equipment usage procedures. Additionally, a continuous improvement mindset is important, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and contribute to a positive, learning-focused work environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
