The Extrusion Helper will report to the Extrusion Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Always perform all work in a safe manner.
Unload finish roll(s) from extruder
Load extrusion machine with spindle and core for next roll.
Weigh, record quality & production data and load onto skid.
Perform Resin checks for proper hook up
Cut cores per traveler specifications
Complete and record all quality control checks in a timely manner
Maintain accurate production and quality control records.
Follow work instructions to ensure customer specifications are followed.
Assist supervisor or lead with equipment or line adjustments
Alert supervisor or lead of any problems on the line
Package finished product per customer specifications
Finish skid by banding load to skid
Maintain an organized and clean work environment
Other tasks as assigned

MUST BE ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE TO AN 1/8 OF AN INCH
GOOD MATH SKILLS
Language Skills:
Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-
workers.
Mathematical Skills:
Must have the ability to calculate measurements and amounts such as fractions, percentages,
time and be able to apply concepts of basic mathematics. Able to read a standard measuring
tape for length or wide in inches.
Reasoning Ability:
This associate must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and
be able to make decisions in accordance with established procedures and policies. Also, the
ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
Basic ability to read and interact with a computer screen
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel,
reach, climb, and bend. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or
feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The associate is often required climb/descend
steps.
The associate is frequently required to lift and/or manipulate up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required to this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety glasses, shoes that cover
the entire foot are required when walking in the extrusion area. Heat resistant gloves are
required when working with the heated plastic.
