Duties below are required once hired on Perm with our client. Ask Spherion for the required job duties for the Temp to Hire role.
Selecting the correct tools and paints for projects.
Preparing walls and other surfaces before painting.
Mixing and applying paints, varnishes, and sealants for a lasting finish.
Covering exposed objects and surfaces.
Using fillers such as putty and plaster to repair cracks.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience with Brush, roller, striping machine, taping and masking equipment, spray equipment, sand and water blaster, air compressor, dry wall tools and equipment, hand tools, ladder, scaffolding.Ability to properly apply paints. Spraying experience preferred-
Job requires frequent walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
Ability to operate hand and power tools and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Work outside and inside; on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, ladders, and scaffolding; and around machinery with moving parts.
Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noises, fumes, and toxic chemicals. Frequent districtwide travel.
Knowledge of and ability to mix paint to match colors

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in painting trade
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently
Ability to use a computerized maintenance management system for work order processing
