Core Responsibilities:- Assist in the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical systems for newly installedmachinery and equipment including robotics, assembly stations, conveyance systems, andmachining centers- Work alongside experienced technicians to perform routine maintenance tasks, includinginspecting, testing, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.- Participate in preventive maintenance programs, ensuring that all machinery and systems areoperating efficiently and safely.- Diagnose and repair CNC/NC machining center equipment- Work with other members within the maintenance team and production department totroubleshoot malfunctioning machinery and equipment- Assist in the planning and installation of building equipment and components- Actively participate in root cause analysis interactions with other maintenance personnel,engineers, operators, and production leadershipThe commitment by Volvo to adequately train skilled trades employees is a requirement to meetthese current and future business challenges. Technical Requirements:- Capable of working with voltages up to 600 VAC including 480 VAC and 277 VAC- Have an understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Mechanics.- Use electrical test meters and equipment to diagnose breakdowns.- Problem solve and evaluate breakdowns for repair.- Research part numbers for repairs, ordering spare parts and inventory.- Document repairs. Generate and/or edit prints and programs as needed.- Must be able to use ladders and lift platforms.
Technical School/Apprenticeship Graduate.- High School Diploma/equivalent or higher education.- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or electrical work, preferably in amanufacturing or industrial environment.
