- Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, equipment, and systems.- Troubleshoot electrical issues in manufacturing equipment, including motors, controls, and wiring systems.- Install, maintain, and repair electrical components and wiring in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes.- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.- Collaborate with the production team to diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly and effectively.- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and resolve control system problems.- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose and repair equipment.- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures when working with electrical systems and equipment.- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, as needed.
1-4 years
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, wiring, and controls.- Experience working with PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motor control systems.- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical safety practices.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.- Flexibility to work various shifts or on-call as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or certification in electrical systems or a related field is preferred.- 2+ years of experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
