Role Overview
This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and control systems for production machinery and facility equipment. The technician will respond to electrical and control-related issues, perform PLC programming, and ensure plant IT hardware is maintained. Additional responsibilities include upgrading machine controls and implementing safety enhancements in compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
Perform electrical, control, and mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and PLC-related concerns in a fast-paced production setting.
Upgrade machinery controls and safety features in alignment with required codes and best practices.
Maintain IT-related hardware for the facility.
Provide electrical safety and technical training to maintenance personnel.
Assist in plant projects alongside internal teams and external vendors.
Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (OSHA, FDA, EPA, GMP, SQF).
Follow confidentiality guidelines when handling sensitive company information.
Perform additional tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in tight spaces and varied temperature environments, including high heat and humidity.
Capable of lifting 30-100 lbs. and performing repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, and squatting.
Comfortable working in an enclosed and potentially noisy environment.
Working hours: 5:45 PM - 6:00 AM
Skills:
Advanced PLC Troubleshooting & Programming - Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and the ability to diagnose and modify ladder logic programs.
Industrial Electrical Systems Knowledge - Familiarity with NEC codes, motor controls, VFDs, and 480V three-phase electrical systems.
Automation & Controls Experience - Understanding of automation systems, sensors, and control circuits in a manufacturing environment.
Preventative & Predictive Maintenance - Ability to implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Technologies, or related field preferred.
Strong experience with electrical systems and industrial PLCs (Allen Bradley experience preferred).
Ability to follow strict safety, food safety, and quality guidelines.
Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
