Responsibilities:
The role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical issues in power distribution systems, electrical equipment, and lighting. It requires installing, maintaining, and calibrating electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instruments across various environments such as production, laboratory, shop, and field settings. The position also includes the installation, removal, and repair of electrical components like motors, starters, controllers, and communication equipment. Basic mechanical tasks such as lubricating, cleaning, and replacing components like rolls, filters, and gearboxes are also part of the responsibilities.
The role requires ensuring safety and compliance with electrical codes (NFPA 70, 70E), handling hazardous materials per HAZMAT and MSDS guidelines, and transporting equipment using forklifts and similar tools. Additionally, responsibilities include selecting appropriate materials (wires, breakers, fuses) for installations, performing calculations to determine component needs, reading and interpreting blueprints, and collaborating with vendors for technical support. The position requires working in varied environments, including confined spaces, scaffolds, and aerial lifts, and handling high-voltage systems up to 12,470 volts.

Qualifications:
Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair: Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct electrical issues in power distribution systems, electrical equipment, and lighting systems.
Instrumentation and Equipment Expertise: Proficiency in installing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing electrical, electronic, and pneumatic instruments and equipment across production, laboratory, shop, and field settings.
Mechanical Knowledge: Capability to perform basic mechanical tasks, including lubricating, cleaning, aligning, and replacing components such as rolls, filters, motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
High-Voltage Experience: Competence in replacing fuses and working with systems up to 12,470 volts.
Technical Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit drawings and mechanical/electrical blueprints.
Mathematical Proficiency: Skills in performing calculations to determine components and installation requirements.
Knowledge of Codes and Safety Standards: Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and adherence to electrical codes and company policies.
Hazardous Material Handling: Understanding of HAZMAT and MSDS guidelines for safely managing hazardous materials.
Material Handling Equipment Use: Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other transport tools for moving equipment, machinery, and parts.
Component Selection: Ability to select proper wire and conduit sizes, breakers, switches, and fuses for installations.
Vendor Interaction: Skill in contacting vendors for technical support and gathering necessary information.
Adaptability to Work Environments: Physical ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and confined spaces.
