As an Estimator Assistant at a leading linen manufacturer and distributor, you will play a key role in supporting the Estimating and Production teams by assisting in the preparation of accurate estimates for incoming RFQs, sourcing materials, and maintaining project files. Responsibilities:
Print and collate incoming specifications, create a summary sheet, and organize electronic and physical project files.
Assist the Estimating Manager in preparing estimates for Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
Request vendor quotes for materials and services as needed.
Source alternative fabrics when required to meet project specifications.
Maintain up-to-date estimating files and documentation.
Assist with issuing and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs) to vendors or clients.
Provide clarification and answer questions from the Production Department regarding project details.
Coordinate and provide clients with samples upon request.
Serve as a liaison between the Estimating and Production teams to ensure smooth project workflow.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Knowledge of drapery structure, fabric types, and the linen manufacturing process.
Understanding of cost analysis, risk management, and the factors influencing product costs.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, specifically within the linen or textile industry.
Familiarity with the products and services offered in the linen manufacturing sector.

High School
