Responsibilities:
Analyzes cost records to ascertain distribution of costs for various product segments of production.
Classifies labor, material and overhead costs to compute the unit cost of products or services.

Creates new inventory item records; maintains existing items with respect to attributes, usage, and obsolescence.
Ensures ongoing development of technical skills related to ERP system functionalities and capabilities; performs advanced system setup for multiple business units and modules.
Conducts and analyzes audits of costs and prepares reports.
Adheres to and supports cost accounting methods and procedures.
Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
Prepares estimates of new or proposed product costs.
Performs manufacturing variance interpretation and analysis.
Reviews and analyzes manufacturing work orders for accuracy; evaluates potential variances and collaborates with operations on material completion, consumption, and labor absorption.
Assist with inventory revaluation preparation and implementation.
Completes monthly inventory reconciliation.
Conducts cost quotes of varying complexity for the sales department, demonstrating proficiency in evaluation of optimal material requirements and manufacturing processes.
Participates in annual and intermittent physical inventories, while monitoring adherence to periodic cycle count program.
Prepares internal and external audit schedules.
Participates in monthly closing process with analysis and creation of manual journal entries.
Conducts reconciliation of balance sheet accounts as assigned by management.
Reviews and monitors freight costs; communicates with freight carriers; demonstrates ability to interpret inventory and shipping documentation; enters applicable freight invoices in AP system.
