The Professional Division of Spherion Mid-Ohio is partnered with an established and growing construction company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Construction Project Manager with a pay range from $95K-$120K +Bonus based on skill set & experience. Come join their team!

The Project Manager– Will lead, direct, and oversee the daily management of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring project success by managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and compliance while maintaining strong relationships with owners, design teams, and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution
- Review and refine project estimates.
- Assist in developing schedules, phasing plans, and logistics.
- Oversee constructability reviews and ensure feasibility.
- Develop bid packages, scopes of work, and manage subcontractor procurement.
- Set up and manage initial project budgets and structures.
- Financial & Contract Management
- Maintain and update project budgets on a monthly basis.
- Oversee invoices for owners and subcontractors.
- Audit project costs, expenditures, and ensure profitability.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of contracts, purchase orders, and agreements.
- Team Leadership & Communication
- Supervise and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Engineers.
- Lead regular project meetings and coordinate team activities.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Owner, Design Team, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure daily reports and safety standards are met on-site.
- Quality & Risk Management
- Implement and oversee quality control measures.
- Analyze and mitigate project risks proactively.
- Manage the RFI/Submittal process and documentation.
- Oversee closeout procedures and project completion.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in self-perform trade work is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Willing to travel to job sites, including overnight stays as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills but not required – Nice to have:
- Engineering or equivalent experience
- 30-hour OSHA certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Estimating experience
- VISTA software experience a plus
