We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our growing team on the 1st shift (6am-4:30pm Monday-Friday) in Iosco County, MI. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to utilize their expertise in operating and programming CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Fanuc controls, have an excellent understanding of both turning and milling operations, and possess experience with CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD and MasterCAM. Experience with machine maintenance and repair is highly desirable. This is a direct hire opportunity with compensation $25-35/hr depending on experience. A 401K and BCBS insurance is also available.

- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines including a Haas ED1600, Doosan HC 400II, and Bridgeport drill press.
- Proficiently program using Fanuc controls for both milling and turning operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using AutoCAD and MasterCAM to ensure efficient and accurate machining.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials and operations.
- Perform precise measurements and inspections of machined parts using various measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform machine setups, including loading and securing workpieces and tooling.
- Monitor machine operation, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and identify potential repair needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and other team members to improve machining processes and resolve issues.
Skills:
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in basic machine maintenance and repair is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and Programmer.
- Excellent working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Proficiency in both CNC turning and milling operations.
- Experience with CAD (preferably AutoCAD) and CAM software (preferably MasterCAM) for program creation and optimization.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T.
- Solid understanding of machining principles, tool selection, and material properties.
- Experience with precision measuring tools and quality control procedures.
