Join a small machine shop that produces high-precision parts for the Medical/Orthopedic, Automotive, Aerospace, Military, and Hunting/Firearms industries. We are seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to help optimize our manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for Swiss-type lathes, Mills, and Turning Lathes, ensuring efficient production of high-precision components.

The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, refining, and improving manufacturing processes. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, improve productivity, and ensure consistent quality.

You'll work Monday-Friday, 7AM-3:30PM
You'll earn $80,000 - $85,000 per year with flex for experience.

Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize complex CNC programs for Swiss-type lathes
Create and maintain detailed programming documentation and procedures
Train and mentor junior programmers in Swiss machining techniques
Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and process improvements
Troubleshoot programming issues and implement solutions
Ensure quality standards and tight tolerances are maintained

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Skills:
Develop and refine CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and conversational programming.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
Manage projects, including planning, execution, and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve process issues.
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations.
Ensure compliance with quality standards across all product lines.

Knowledge of high-speed machining techniques
Six Sigma or lean manufacturing certification
Proficiency in multiple CAD/CAM platforms (specifically MasterCAM)
Experience with micro-machining operations
Background in medical or aerospace manufacturing
Familiarity with automation and robotic cell integration
ISO 9001 quality system experience
Tool life optimization expertise

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
CNC programming and operation experience
Knowledge of G-code, M-Code and Conversational programming
Proficiency with Fanuc and Citizen control systems
Understanding of GD&T and precision measurement techniques
Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of cutting tools and materials
Quality inspection and measurement systems
Process optimization and lean manufacturing
Project management experience, including planning and execution.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
Communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in medical, automotive, aerospace, military, or hunting/firearms manufacturing.
Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
CAD/CAM software experience.
