Keeping church facilities clean is a priority, as are other duties as assigned. The Sexton must be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 lb.. A summary of responsibilities and experience are below.

Responsibilities:
The normal hours for the Sexton position are as follows:

* Every week for Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* Every Friday 8 a.m. to 12 Noon
* On duty every other weekend for Sat. from 8 a.m. to 12 Noon and Sun. from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

(3) Annual salary is supplemented with overtime pay.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 AM

-This teammate will work with the Church Property Manager to keep the church and parish buildings prepared for services and meetings

-Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and submit orders when necessary
-Ensure all areas are secure at the end of each day

Education:
No Degree Required

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle various tasks including lifting and moving objects
