The compounder is responsible for executing batch manufacturing to meet the daily production schedule in one of the compounding areas: Jan San, Powders, Acrylic, PUD, and Floor Finish. This role is responsible for accurately weighing, checking, and mixing specific chemical compounds for product formulations according to the job ticket instructions and established procedures.Adhere to all batch instructions as listed on job ticketProcess the requirements report and ensuring all required raw materials are available prior to jobSetup, load, operate, and monitor all mixing machine equipmentWeight out and mixing exact amounts of chemical according to specific formulasLabel and forward required batch samples as procedure and/or job ticket indicateCalibrate, operate, and monitor all powder batch compounding equipmentAdditional job duties

Moderate physical exertion including: sitting 10%, standing and walking 80%, and squatting, kneeling, or twisting 10%Lifting requirements of 50 pounds maximum and 50+ pounds frequentlyVisual requirements include the ability to read work orders, blue prints, schematics, measuring devices, computer printouts and spreadsheet applicationThe position may require the use of personal protective equipment which could include safety glasses and safety shoes, depending on the nature of the work
High school diploma or equivalent2-3 years of compounding experience in a fast paced manufacturing environmentExperience operating chemical equipmentHave a mastery of multiple departments specifically required job skills including specific batches, equipment, raw materials and processesAbility to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction, and handle conflict in a positive mannerStrong communication and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments including Scheduling, Lab, QC, and other production departments.
