In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing optical and electronic components while working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. As the only technician in the operations department (besides your manager), you will play a key role in ensuring the precision and quality of our clients cutting-edge products. Occasional support from interns may be available, but the role primarily requires independent work.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble products by interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Utilize hand tools to perform precise and accurate assembly tasks.
- Conduct soldering operations, including through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT), ensuring high-quality solder joints.
- Handle and assemble optical components such as sensors, lenses, and mirrors with precision and care.
- Maintain cleanliness in optical assemblies by following proper anti-static and dust control procedures.
- Perform functional tests on sub-assemblies and finished products using computer-based testing equipment.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety procedures to protect sensitive electronic components.\
- Document assembly and testing results using Microsoft Office Suite and other data analysis tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or soldering issues as needed.
- Work collaboratively with management and other team members to optimize assembly processes and meet production deadlines.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Prior experience in an assembly or manufacturing role.
- Experience with alignment and calibration procedures for optical systems.
- Knowledge of computer-based testing equipment and software for product evaluation.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

High School

4-7 years
Qualifications:
** Proficiency in soldering techniques, including desoldering and rework. -- must have soldering experience**
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools for assembly tasks with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with optical component handling, cleaning, and calibration procedures.
- Understanding of ESD safety practices and manufacturing safety standards.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting assembly or soldering issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a self-motivated mindset.
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
