Responsibilities:
Perform GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding on aluminum components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine job specifications.
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting aluminum parts prior to welding.
Ensure welds meet quality standards and specifications, including performing visual and dimensional inspections.
Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently while following OSHA and company safety regulations.
Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and production staff to meet project deadlines.
Perform post-welding clean-up, grinding, and finishing as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair defective welds to maintain structural integrity.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Skills:
Proven experience in aluminum welding, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on aluminum.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Familiarity with welding safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [X] pounds).
High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) is a plus.
Basic understanding of metal fabrication, cutting, and grinding tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
