The Support Team Member provides comprehensive administrative support to the organization, handling a variety of office and clerical tasks while delivering exceptional customer service. The role focuses on data entry, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring efficient operational support.

- Answer incoming calls, escalating issues based on urgency and subject matter as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, via phone, and through email interactions.
- Welcome walk-in customers and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Manage the purchase order process, including shipping schedules and purchase records.
- Conduct research and perform credit reference checks for customers applying for company credit terms.
- Collect payments and accurately enter payment data into the system.
- Receive and process vendor invoices, confirmations, and shipping updates in the system.
- Monitor product shipments to ensure timely delivery and obtain proof of delivery.
- Oversee customer appreciation and acknowledgment initiatives.
- Complete and collect required forms and documentation from vendors and customers.
- Provide additional support as a backup for tasks performed by other team members.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to contribute positively to the team with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of customer service experience (in person or over the phone).
- 1-3 years of office administration experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to type an average of 50 words per minute.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, copier, phone system, calculator).
- Dependability and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
