Duration: February 17, 2025 - May 17, 2025 (3-month contract)
Compensation: $23.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Process and manage accounts payable transactions while maintaining internal controls, including proper authorizations, approval limits, and disbursement propriety
Handle bank transactions including voids, stop payments, and reconciliations while maintaining detailed documentation of invoices, outstanding checks, month-end AP reports, journal entries, and canceled checks
Serve as a liaison between internal and external customers, providing information and resolving vendor issues while maintaining professional communication with management
Perform regular reconciliations of vendor statements and ensure timely payment of approved expenditures while maintaining regulatory compliance
Support AP check processing, audit data entry, and maintain Excel spreadsheets with accurate formulas for uploading into AP & GL systems
Provide backup support for AP functions and Accounts Payable Manager while assisting with other accounting tasks as needed
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Prior experience working in a healthcare environment is a plus
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
Proven experience with major computer and regulatory reporting systems
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
Demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Team-oriented mindset with ability to work independently
Proven track record of problem-solving and attention to detail
Technical Competencies:
Accounts Payable processing
General Ledger functions
Bank reconciliations
Internal controls
Regulatory compliance
Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Financial documentation management
Experience with internal controls and audit procedures
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)
