We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Clerk to support our clients' Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Collections functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in administrative and clerical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and a solid understanding of general accounting principles. This position has the possibility to grow into a permanent career!

Responsibilities:
- Perform billing tasks, ensuring accuracy of remittance data, entering information into general ledger and claims billing software, and maintaining supporting records.
- Collaborate with the Director of Services and clients to establish and enforce payment plans.
- Generate and distribute invoices and statements as directed.
- Provide reports to the Controller, including Staffing Reports and Occupancy Reports.
- Work with tenants on rent and security deposit collection.
- Assist with year-end tasks, including preparing Certificates of Rent Paid (CRPs).
- Manage vendor correspondence received via mail and update client accounts accordingly.
- Distribute mid-month credit card statements to each program.
- Send monthly statements to clients, guardians, or representatives, and follow up on outstanding issues.
- Submit EVV reporting data to State Compliance systems.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering incoming calls related to accounts receivable and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Associate's degree or vocational training with an emphasis in accounting preferred.
- Prior experience in billing or accounts receivable, particularly in a healthcare or insurance-related field, preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, sorting, and spreadsheet management.
