We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in managing our company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records, reconciling bank statements, and processing transactions. A successful accounting clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, a successful candidate will ensure that the company's daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Responsibilities:
Bank Deposit ? Record, post and send to the bank.
? Payables ? verify all invoices for purchase orders, authorization to pay, etc. and report any non-authorized or suspicious documents to the attention of the Office Manager. Post invoices to accounting.
? Balance statements and write checks for payables, utilities, etc.
? Accounts Receivable ? Run AR statements and send to customers/vendors. Run the accounts receivable schedule twice a week for the Parts and Service Managers. Help them collect if need be. Let the Office Manager know of any problems immediately.
? Offer support to your manager for any task that may need to be done at the time.
? Relieve the receptionist for lunch and breaks.
? Be flexible with duties. There are urgencies at certain times of the month that require priorities and you must be aware of them and help as instructed or be pro-active and know what is expected.
? Run the schedules you are responsible for and inspect your own work so you can correct your own mistakes.
? Get all your work done every day. When you go home at night, make sure your in-box is empty.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides a current list of outstanding titles to the comptroller at the end of month.
Signs over titles for all wholesalers who have paid in full. Prepares a monthly report to management of any funds not collected from wholesalers due to missing or incomplete title work.
Posts wholesales.
Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
Other tasks as assigned.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Two to four years DEALERSHIP DMV experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
Maintains a system to verify out-of-state titles.
