Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Multicraft Maintenance Technician who will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of their facility. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including servicing and repairing hydraulic systems, electrical equipment, and mechanical machinery. Additionally, you'll be responsible for building maintenance, which includes carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently.
- Installation: Assist with the installation and relocation of machinery, ensuring proper setup and safe operation.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address equipment malfunctions, replace defective parts, and reassemble machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and extend the lifespan of machinery.
- Building Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, and structural repairs to keep the facility in top condition.
- Metalworking: Operate mills, grinders, drill presses, and other tools to fabricate or repair components as needed.
- Welding: Utilize electric/acetylene welding and torch cutting skills for various maintenance and repair tasks.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, maintain a clean work area, and report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including logging repairs and maintenance tasks.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in press operations.
- Skills: Proficient in operating mills, lathes, and drill presses for machining and repairing components.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documents.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical school education preferred.
- Physical Abilities: Must be capable of performing basic math and handling physical tasks, including lifting and operating heavy equipment.
- Work Ethic: Strong track record of reliability, good attendance, and a willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Independence & Collaboration: Must be able to work independently while also being able to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Willingness to Learn: Open to continuous learning and skill development.
