How to Sign Up for Instant
Registering to receive your pay through Instant is as easy as 1, 2, 3:
- Set up your Instant profile and pair a card.
If you selected the Instant Pay Card in your Spherion electronic onboarding package, you will receive an auto-generated email directly from Instant Financial within 24 hours of being hired or rehired by the Spherion branch. Please be sure to check your SPAM/Junk folder if you do not see the email, just in case you have your high-security settings.
If you would like to register for Instant and you have already onboarded, log on to Spherion NetWORK and follow the instructions to update your pay method.
Please note: If you choose Instant as your payment method, you will not be able to receive your pay through another method, such as direct deposit into a bank account, at the same time. Because of the Early Wage Access program, employees who choose to be paid through Instant are not eligible to receive their pay through any other method and will receive all of their pay via Instant. You can transfer some or all of your pay to a bank account via the Instant app at any time. You can change your payment settings at any time in Spherion NetWORK. 2. Download the Instant app.
After you've registered to get paid through Instant and have created your online Instant profile, go to your App Store or Google Play and search for INSTANT. Once you've downloaded the Instant app, sign in using the username and password you established when creating your profile. Do not choose "New to Instant" - this will create another account.
3. Get Paid!
If you're eligible for Early Wage Access, check the app or your account on the Instant website to view and accept your offer of up to 50% of the previous day's pay. Offers expire in 12 hours, so be sure to act early. You can use early access funds immediately once they're loaded onto your Instant card.

Getting paid through Instant is a snap! Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about this service.

Is the Instant pay card the same as the Money Network card?
No, these are 2 different pay cards with 2 different companies. The Instant card is a NEW pay card replacing Money Network as of August 2023. Spherion has partnered with Instant to offer a new pay card to our employees that gives you free and instant access to up to 50% of a shift’s earnings (up to $300, available the next morning) for eligible assignments.

Who is eligible for the Instant daily offers through the Instant card?
Any employee who is currently working on a Spherion WebTIME or STATUS time clock and saves their time daily as in/out punches will be eligible for the daily instant offers.
Important note: Employees with any garnishments are NOT eligible for the instant daily offers until the garnishment is no longer active.

Are all assignments eligible for the daily instant offers that can be given to all employees?
No, currently the daily instant offers are ONLY available to employees who are working on an assignment where the employee saves their time via Spherion WebTIME or STATUS time clock daily as IN/OUT punches. Additionally, you must not have any active garnishments.
Please remember, even if you're not eligible for the daily instant offers on your current assignment, the Instant card works just as a regular pay card where you get paid every Friday for the previous week worked.

Do I have to use the Instant pay card if I'm using Spherion WebTIME or STATUS?
No. It's up to you if you would like to move to this new pay method. There are some benefits to having the Instant pay card such as the daily instant offers (Early Wage Access) for eligible assignments as well as the flexibility of the Instant app to manage your money. You can continue to be paid through a traditional bank account if preferred.

Does my employer need to approve time daily for the daily instant offers benefit to work for instant pay?
No, there is no change to the employer/supervisor approval process. At the end of every week, your employer will go in and approve all hours that you worked.

What if I lose my Instant card?
If you lose your Instant pay card, you are able to go into the Instant app to request another card. Instant will send you a replacement card and deactivate the lost one.
Additionally, if you are near a Spherion site or branch, you can stop by the branch to receive a new pay card and then pair the new pay card via the app or web browser.
Please note that you only need to pair one card to your existing account. You should not create a new account altogether.

What if I don't have a smartphone to download and use the Instant app?
If you do not have a smartphone to download the app, you can go to the web browser version of Instant at https://app.instant.co/welcome-login and set up your pay card. Through the website, you can do everything you could do via the app such as check your balance, view offers, move money, etc.
You can also set up email notifications if you are on an assignment that is eligible for instant daily offers.

Can I split my pay among the Instant card AND another form of payment like direct deposit?
No. At this time if you sign up for the Instant card then all funds will be deposited into your Instant account.
However, you can transfer the full amount (or a portion) of your funds from the virtual account balance on the Instant app to your bank account. Instant allows this feature once a week at no charge. You can also schedule automatic transfers to run weekly.

What can I do if my enrollment email from Instant is deleted by mistake? How can I set up my account?
If you know the email address where the enrollment email was sent, you can go to the Instant app sign-in and request a password reset email. This will push a new password creation email, so you can create a password and sign in.
You should not attempt to create another account with a different email. This will not work with the Spherion integration.
As another option, you can contact the Instant support team to request a password reset to be sent centrally.

What if I no longer want to use Instant to receive my pay?
If you're an active Spherion employee who would no longer like to use Instant to be paid, you will need to go into the Spherion NetWORK site to update your pay method to direct bank deposit.
Please note that this change takes about 10 days to become effective, so you will continue to receive your weekly pay on your Instant card for the next 10 business days. Instant offers will be turned off at the time the pay method is changed.

My employer is a Spherion WebTIME user but I still submit my hours manually through the Spherion branch/site. Am I eligible for the daily Instant offers?
No. In order for you to receive instant daily offers, you must start using Spherion WebTIME or STATUS time clocks, AND save your time daily so that your time is included in the daily report Spherion sends to Instant.

If I work 2 assignments in one day and both assignments are eligible for the Instant offers, can I receive 2 Instant offers?
No. If you work 2 eligible assignments in one day, an Instant offer will be available only for the first assignment worked.

What if I work on a weekend? When will I receive the daily Instant offer?
If you work on an eligible assignment on a Friday, you will receive the daily instant offer on Saturday morning. You will then choose to accept that offer for half of the pay that you worked on Friday.
The same applies if you work on a Saturday. You will receive your instant offer on Sunday.

Are taxes taken out of my Early Wage Access Instant pay?
No. Your payroll taxes will be taken out of the remaining pay owed to you when it is distributed on your regular pay date (Friday, for the previous week worked).

If I move from an assignment that's eligible for Instant offers to a new assignment that is not, will the Instant card still work?
Yes, the card will work as a normal pay card. You'll get paid every Friday. You won't be eligible for Instant daily offers until you go back to an assignment that is eligible for the Early Wage Access offering.

Can I transfer money from my Instant card to my bank account?
Yes, you can transfer money from your Instant card to your bank account via the app.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can transfer money from Instant pay to a different bank account?
Employees have the option for one free next-day transfer to another bank once per week. Any subsequent requests are $2.50 per request.
Instant also offers a fast transfer option where funds are immediately available on the other account for $4.00. Instant will allow up to 30 transfers a day, and a daily dollar limit of $999.00.
In addition, there are more than 33,000 MoneyPass ATMs available for cardholders. You can find one close to you on the ATM locator on the MoneyPass website. However, if cardholders use a visa-enabled off-network ATM, a fee of $2.50 and any applicable charges will be applied. Instant will allow up to 10 ATM transactions or $1,000.00 per day (whichever is reached first)

Is the Instant card compatible with Apple Wallet?
The Instant card is not currently compatible with Apple Wallet or Google Pay, but we hope to have this functionality soon.
