Throughout its 77 years in the staffing and recruiting industry, Spherion has always believed in “the power of local.” That mantra inspired the launch of our new, innovative employee rewards program, The Orange Vault, as our franchisees and their teams continue to navigate challenges around employee engagement within the workplace.
As America’s workforce becomes increasingly disconnected from their jobs, we launched this initiative to reward and give back to the hard-working Spherion employees who help to better the communities in which they live and work. Spherion employees active on assignment and in good standing with their local franchise office as of August 6, 2023, were eligible to receive cash prizes of $100, $200 or $300 each week of the program. Culminating during National Staffing Week, one lucky employee received a grand prize cash reward of $10,000. Each of those prizes were net cash amounts for our employees, with Spherion covering the taxes for every cash prize.
Beyond recognizing our employees for their hard work, we built The Orange Vault to help our franchisees retain a strong candidate and employee pool. The end of the year is peak hiring season for many employers, and engagement programs like this are the perfect way to keep a pipeline of skilled employees who can help clients meet increased year-end production/service goals.
Spherion has spent years developing third-quarter promotions, from the initial Spherion Works Sweepstakes in 2021 to its reimagining as The Orange Vault in 2023. Franchisees across our network each offered insightful advice about how to make a campaign like The Orange Vault more impactful for all involved, and we applied their feedback to the final product.
That’s why this year’s rewards program offers full-cash prizes where each office is guaranteed to have at least three winners, a modified timeline, and the opportunity to win a grand prize at the conclusion of the campaign.
Building off the campaign, Spherion will also be implementing an ongoing program designed to continually promote strong employee engagement with franchisees and clients. This new employee rewards program is just one of the ways Spherion raises the bar with our services to support our candidates and franchisees as they navigate new challenges and opportunities across the staffing and recruiting landscape.
