The Spherion family mourns the loss of Carol Trahan, beloved franchisee for more than 25 years. Carol and her husband moved to the Johnson City, Tennessee area and opened her office in the summer of 1996. Since then, Carol has been a pillar in the Johnson City community. She served on the local chamber of commerce and engaged with the community in a myriad of ways, though giveback was always at the forefront of her efforts.
Through that engagement, she built her lasting legacy and was honored for her accomplishments. Internally, she was recognized for multiple company awards, including the President’s Award for her outstanding work first in 2000, and again in 2003. Later on in her career in 2010, she received the Multi-Million Dollar Franchise Growth Award for her office’s rapid growth. In the Johnson City community, she received recognition for her dedication to several organizations. Most notably, she was celebrated for providing work opportunities for people with Disabilities from Victory Center for Community Outreach.
Funeral arrangements have been set for Feb. 19, 2022. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. with a celebration of life ceremony immediately following at Tetrick Funeral Home. To celebrate Carol’s lasting impact on the company and community she served, we are requesting that those inclined to honor her memory contribute to Second Harvest Food Bank or Hands On! Discovery Center.
While we will continue to mourn Carol’s loss, Spherion Staffing in Johnson City will be fully open and performing its regular responsibilities. We look forward to celebrating Carol’s life and accomplishments as we move forward in the new year.
